📍 Sun Country Materials Landfill - Riverview, FL
💵 Pay: $23-$26/hr
🗓? Schedule: Monday-Friday | 40-45 hrs/week | Weekends as needed

Waste Connections, Inc. is actively hiring versatile Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team at Sun Country Materials Landfill in Riverview, FL. This role offers the opportunity to travel throughout Florida as needed and work in a stable, year-round environment.

We're looking for operators who thrive in a culture of operational excellence, safety, and accountability.
Position Overview:

You'll be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment to support landfill operations, including:
  • 🚜 Compacting and spreading trash using a compactor
  • 🛠? Spreading daily cover with a dozer and scraper
  • ?? Excavating soil with an excavator
  • 🚚 Operating an articulated haul truck
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of dozer experience
  • Ability to operate multiple types of heavy equipment throughout the day
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Commitment to safe operating practices
  • Ability to write and comprehend reports
  • 5+ years of total heavy equipment experience
  • Satisfactory driving record
